Bratt Tree services the entire Twin Cities metro area and operates a comprehensive fleet of top-of-the-line equipment, including our own 20-ton, 40-ton, and Grapple Saw cranes. We take pride in our skilled team, our commitment to safety, and the quality of our work. We are currently seeking an experienced Bucket Operator to join our growing crew.
Position Overview
The Bucket Operator is a key member of our field crew responsible for safely operating and maintaining bucket trucks and related equipment while performing tree trimming, removal, and other arboricultural tasks. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires experience, skill, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate bucket trucks and all related equipment in the field
Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using chainsaws and other equipment
Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of the bucket truck and all tools
Maintain all equipment — including chainsaws and climbing gear — in safe working order
Work closely with crew members to complete job tasks efficiently and safely
Follow all ANSI Z133 safety standards and company safety protocols
Assist with loading, chipping, and cleanup at job sites
Communicate effectively with crew leaders and clients as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications & Requirements
CDL and Class B license required
Clean, valid Driver's License required
Prior experience driving and operating a bucket truck is required
Prior experience as a climber or grounds person required
Operates and maintains bucket truck and all other equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Operates and maintains chainsaws and all other equipment in a safe manner
Must be able to carry a minimum of 50 lbs
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
