As a Plant Health Care Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating tree and shrub health issues within a defined service area. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.

A Typical Day May Include

  • Inspecting trees and shrubs to identify pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and other plant health concerns
  • Recommending and applying appropriate treatments to improve plant health and vitality
  • Preparing written diagnostic reports and educating clients about their landscape and tree care needs
  • Operating spray and application equipment safely and effectively
  • Managing a service route while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minnesota Pesticide Applicator License – Category A & E (or ability to obtain immediately)
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn plant and tree identification
  • Commitment to completing required training and certifications
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to work full days outdoors in varying weather conditions with occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or coursework in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Science, Landscape Management, or Turfgrass
  • Prior experience in plant health care, landscaping, turf management, or arboriculture

Physical Requirements
This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Candidates must be able to:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Bend, reach, stoop, and move equipment as needed
  • Safely operate tools and application equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
